Day I achieved Eagle Scout
Hello, my name is Andrew Schwenk and I am the Cutler of Scout Sharp. I am a dedicated Eagle Scout® from Wallington's BSA® Troop 13 and former Garfield Troop 250 where I ensure your edged tools are expertly sharpened and ready for any task. My passion for sharpening knives first began when I was young in Cub Scouts, where I first learned about proper knife handling and maintenance. I've always been captivated by how a simple process; rubbing metal against a rough surface like sandpaper or even a stone can transform it into such a powerful, finely-tuned tool. Over the years, I have continued to hone the skills of blade sharpening.
My mission:
I believe that using knives and other edged tools should be fun and enjoyable, not sluggish, frustrating and overall cumbersome to use. My goal is to provide a sharp and pleasant experience when using your edged tools. Whether you are a cook, gardener, or simply a knife collector, I am here to help you get the most out of your knives.

Plane irons
A: At the moment, I don’t offer sharpening for certain items due to a lack of equipment and limited experience with those tools. However, I do plan to add these services in the future once I’ve acquired the proper equipment and training.
A: For most items it take just a few minutes each. A typical kitchen knife can take between 2 and 10 minutes depending on the damage done to the blade. For larger or more complex tools, I can give you a time estimate on-site.
